The Participatory Budgeting Vote Week for District 29 runs from March 26 to April 3.

During the week, residents will be able to vote on what projects they’d like the million dollar budget to fund. The budget is specifically allocated for the community’s input on what changes they’d like to make in the upcoming year. The process began last year and will end with Vote Week.

In a press release, Council member Karen Koslowitz spoke about the importance of the vote.

“I would encourage all the residents of Forest Hills, Rego Park, Kew Gardens and Richmond Hill to get involved, by voting in the participatory budgeting process,” Koslowitz said. “PB is all about having local communities decide which projects they want to prioritize, as we work towards a more transparent and inclusive city government.”

You can visit any of the below locations to vote. For more info, contact Alex Anderson at the council member’s office. The number is 718-544-8800.
