Police release disturbing video of fatal assault

Police have identified the two individuals sought in connection with the fatal assault as 42-year-old Mathew Smith, 5’11” and 230 pounds and 39-year-old Elena Makarova, 5’3″ and 174 pounds.

The two suspects police are looking to speak with in connection with the attack.
The NYPD 106th precinct is looking for two individuals in connection with an assault that left a 64-year-old man dead over the summer.
According to police, on Sunday, June 26 at 12:01 a.m., on the southeast corner of Main Street and Queens Boulevard, an unknown man approached the victim and struck him in the head with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Good Samaritan Hospital. He was later transferred to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The police are looking for a Black male, approximately 30-35 years old with short black hair, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, sneakers and a black bag. Joining the male just seconds after the alleged assault is a female with short hair and glasses, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and sandals.
