Tom Petty to perform at Forest Hills Stadium
As 2017 gets closer, Madison House and Forest Hills Stadium are starting to release some of the upcoming acts to perform at the historic venue next year.
The legendary Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will perform twice, on July 26 and July 27, as they celebrate on their 40th Anniversary Tour. They released their first album in 1976 and since then, they’ve sold more than 60 million records. Tickets for both shows range from $55-$165 and go on sale on January 14, 2017 at 10 a.m.
Icelandic experimental rock band Sigur Rós will perform on June 17. Continuing the experiment begun this year, the group will be performing as trio, eschewing the string, brass, and other auxiliary musicians that have been a hallmark of live performances the past decade, according to concert organizers.
Tickets for the band’s show will go on sale on Friday, December 16 at 10 a.m. Prices for tickets range from $29.50 to $99.50.
