Police Arrest Man Who Fractured Woman’s Spine on Subway

Police have arrested a man who made homophobic statements to a woman on board an E train in Forest Hills before attacking her.
54 year old, Allasheed Allah was arrested and charged with assault and aggravated harassment that were both considered to be hate crimes. When the 20-year-old female passenger turned to leave her aggressor, Allah allegedly punched her in the back of her head and shoved her to the ground due to his perception of her sexual orientation.
The woman was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital with a fractured spine, police said.
