Congestion pricing forum tonight in Forest Hills

What are your thoughts on congestion pricing? You can share your views or concerns at a congestion pricing forum tonight at Forest Hills High School.

The Forest Hills Green Team (FHGT), a grassroots group, is organizing the forum from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

FHGT has joined more than 50 organizations in the Fix the Subway coalition. The coalition supports Governor Cuomo’s and Mayor de Blasio’s proposal to implement congestion pricing. At the forum, advocates will explain congestion pricing, dispel misconceptions about it, and ask attendees to urge their elected officials to support it. The forum is co-sponsored by Riders Alliance, Transportation Alternatives, and Tri-State Transportation Campaign.

“Some Forest Hills residents drive cars, some take the subway – but all of us need a sustainable, functioning mass transit system. The City can’t operate without massive upgrades to our subways and bus lines,” said FHGT co-chair Mark Laster. “More public discussion of congestion pricing is needed.”

Forest Hills High School is located at 67-01 110th Street.
