Street closures for this year’s Halloween trick-or-treating

trick or treating

As Halloween gets closer, please be aware of street closures that will help protect the children.
To create a “safe zone” for trick-or-treaters, the Forest Hills Gardens Corporation will close particular streets in order to stop vehicular traffic from traveling north of Greenway North between Ascan Avenue and Union Turnpike.
According to FHGC President Mitchell Cohen, the following streets will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.:
– Borage Place
– Puritan Avenue
– Overhill Road
– Underwood Road
– Upshaw Road
Additionally, to reduce traffic into the community, Puritan Avenue will be closed at Whitson Street.
If you’re a resident living in the “safe zone,” you need to move your vehicle before 3 p.m. on Halloween.
