Celebrate the New Year in Forest Hills

New-Year-2015-12So here we are, the New Year’s Eve “ball drop” for 2015 is just hours away and you haven’t made any plans…

But don’t worry; there are plenty of bars, restaurants and even yoga centers in Forest Hills offering a number of party options to make your end-of-year celebration one to remember.

Austin Public (70-28 Austin St.): This Austin Street bar and restaurant is offering a cover-free DJ Party for guests tonight, so bring your friends for an evening of food, dance and champagne until the early morning hours.

Exo Cafe (70-20 Austin St.): Sit down for a relaxing four-course dinner and a midnight toast for just $49.95.

Forest Hills Station House (106-11 71st Ave.): For $100 in advance or $120 at the door, this New Year’s Eve celebration includes a top shelf open bar, New Year’s cocktail list, artisanal hors d’oeuvres, gourmet buffet and rare beer toast.

Banter Irish Bar and Kitchen (108-22 Queens Blvd.): Start the night off with a free shot of Jameson and end it with a free champagne toast. The restaurant is also serving a three-course meal in the dining room, however seats are currently sold out.

Tazzina (102-15 Metropolitan Ave.): Hours are extended at this Forest Hills restaurant with a full menu, specials and free champagne.

Agora Taverna (70-09 Austin St.): Regular menu options are available until 9 p.m., followed by a special Greek holiday dinner with fried calamari, meatballs, salmon and chicken kebabs for $59.95.

Dirty Pierre’s (13 Station Square): Try out this Southern style buffet with a free champagne toast for just $10.

Genesis Tree of Life Yoga and Wellness Center (10206 Metropolitan Ave.): Join the staff at this Metropolitan Avenue yoga studio for a trip to Jones Beach on New Year’s Day. Meet at the Jones Beach Parking Lot 6 at 9:50 a.m. for an hour-and-a-half long walk with breathing lessons and a vegetarian lunch.

BambooMoves Yoga (107-40 Queens Blvd.): Start your New Year off right with a special yoga class from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for a suggested $5 donation that goes to the “Growing Together” program – an organization built to bring Jewish and Arab teens together.
