Forest Hills Gardens is most expensive nabe in Queens

For those looking to buy a home in Queens, buying in Forest Hills Gardens is going to be very expensive.
In fact, the neighborhood was named the most expensive Queens neighborhood as well as the 15th most expensive neighborhood in New York City in 2015 according to research tool Property Shark. Besides Dumbo in Brooklyn, Forest Hills Gardens is the most expensive neighborhood outside of Manhattan.
A number of homes were sold at prices over $2 million. Currently, there’s still a home at 36 Wendover Road on the market for $5.9 million.
Forest Hills Gardens’ median sale price in 2015 jumped 19 percent to $1,335,000 from $1,125,000 in 2014.
Yep, that’s right. Living in Forest Hills Gardens is now more expensive than living in the West Village, where the median sale price is $1,275,000.
