On Saturday, Jan. 11, The Church in the Gardens will host Musica Reginae Productions for two unique back-to-back concerts for music lovers of all ages.

At 4 p.m. the evening begins with “The Music of Friends,” the latest event in Musica Reginae’s series Community Concerts for Kids. This interactive event for children (ages 4 & up) and their families will have us exploring chamber music. What is chamber music? What is it like to make music with your friends? Meet and hear string player friends of Musica Reginae director and pianist Barbara Podgurski.

The music continues with “An Evening of Chamber Music for Piano and Strings” at 7 p.m.  Musica Reginae Artistic Director and pianist Barbara Podgurski is joined by original members of the Musica Reginae Chamber Players for an evening of chamber music. Program will include Frédéric Chopin’s exquisite Sonata for Cello and Piano in g minor, op.65 and Antonin Dvořàk’s Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, op. 87.

Guests are invited to join the artists for a reception after the concert, sponsored by Finback Brewery.

Tickets are $20/Adult, $10/Student, and are available at the door, at www.MusicaReginae.org, or by calling (718) 894-2178.
