Street to be renamed “Ramones Way” in honor of band

The Ramones are being honored in their hometown of Forest Hills in a big way.
On Sunday, October 23 at 11 a.m., there will be a street co-naming for the legendary band. Council Member Karen Koslowitz will present “Ramones Way” to honor the original group consisting of John Cummings (Johnny Ramone), Jeffrey Hyman (Joey Ramone), Douglas Colvin (Dee Dee Ramone) and Thomas Erdelyi (Tommy Ramone).
The sign will be placed at the intersection of 67th Avenue and 110th Street in front of Forest Hills High School.
