Pumpkin Smash event in Forest Hills

Now that Halloween is over, you don’t need to throw away your pumpkins in the trash. Instead, bring them to a fun pumpkin smash event this weekend.
The Great Pumpkin Smash Fest & Daffodil Painting will take place at Ehrenreich-Austin Playground on Sunday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Have fun “smashing” the pumpkins, which will then be returned to the earth as compost at the Forest Hills Food Scrap Drop Off Site! Organizers are planning another wonderful fall activity, planting daffodil bulbs to beautify the park for Spring. There will also be various eco-friendly crafts suitable for all ages as well as hot apple cider and treats. You may even be able to plant a seed to take home!
